Hyderabad sources have made a statement that a major fire broke out at the famous Annapurna Studios last evening. According to sources the place is a regular shooting spot of most TV serials and big movies.
Meanwhile the sets of two movies ANR's last movie Manam and another Sye Raa, erected for the upcoming film of megastar Chiranjeevi were destroyed in the fire. However, there was no casualty. Akkineni Nagarjuna who had just arrived at the scene expressed relief that none was harmed in the incident. When asked to estimate the damages caused by the fire, he said it could be around 2 crores.
Further one of the reporters questioned if Manam
sets was worth that much to which the actor quickly replied in the negative
saying when the set was erected many years ago, it didn't cost that much. He
said "He is yet to get inside and assess the damage”.
