The Bharatiya Janata party BJP will soon be forming the government in both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, in the process, doing it for the sixth consecutive time in Gujarat and giving a shocking, unanticipated defeat to Congress in Himachal Pradesh (where they were the ruling party).

Reportedly, as per the Gujarat elections updates, BJP has taken a solid lead, winning by miles ahead of Congress in 107 seats, and Congress leading in 74, and the others at 2. Chief minister Vijay Rupani comfortably thrashed Indrani Rajyaguru in Rajkot west and Deputy CM Nitin Patel was slightly trailing behind at Mehsana.

In Himachal Pradesh, BJP has proved it's might winning 42 seats as opposed to Congress at 23 seats, thumping their rule from their strong zone. It's been reported that BJP has achieved this with malpractices like tampering of Electronic voting machines all over, and turning the tide in favour of BJP despite an unexpected, stiff neck to neck competition given.

This victory reasserts Prime minister Narendra Modi's supremacy and the weak status of newly elect Congress president Rahul Gandhi. However, RaGa can be proud as they gave a tough fight to the ruling party. Meanwhile, Sensex was already down by 800 points!
