As central board of film certification has given clean chit to the controversial Padmavati, various Rajput outfits are upset and are demanding a ban on the movie. One of the prominent outfits Rashtriya Rajput karni Sena has threatened that they'll set ablaze screens showing Padmavati and that it's an unfortunate thing that CBFC certified the movie.
Raj Shekhawat, the Gujarat wing president of Rashtriya Rajput
Karni Sena has said that the members of RRKS will take law into hands if the
movie isn't banned. The RRKS is a section of Rajput karni Sena based in
Rajasthan, and already Padmavati is banned in states like Gujarat and now these
outfits are demanding an all India ban.
The outfits have mentioned that not just history is
distorted, with misrepresentation, but also that the movie glorifies the evil
Invader Alauddin Khilji, and that it is extremely wrong that the CBFC has
certified the movie U/A. While the revising committee claimed that the movie
doesn't glorify sati and also removed unwanted portions in ghoomar song, it
also insisted changing the movie's name to Padmavat. It is to be seen if the
Sanjay Leela Bhansali Directorial movie, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer
Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Shahid Kapoor will release.
