It has been exposed that anyone can be the admin of Aadhaar database, and can make anyone they desire as admins, which will enable them to access data of 1192259062 Aadhaar card holders. An admin of Aadhaar database, say A, can make a certain B and C as Admins, and they can further proceed to make D and E as admins, with the rate for getting admin rights ranging from 500 RS to 6000 Rs.
With the help of a Aadhaar card detail used to access the
UIDAI portal, the user can access data of other users and can get access to
their photo, address, father and mother name, date of birth, email ID, mobile
number.etc. Without a proper bio metric system, anyone can access anyone else's
data just like that and can misuse it for various purposes as they can access
even bank accounts linked.
However, the UIDAI team had denied this bio metric breach as
well the safety flaw in the system, though it has been exposed blatantly on the
internet through strong and technology equipped sources. While the Prime
Minister Narendra Modi has been notified, Congress party has started voicing
out against the breach of security and no transparency in safeguarding of user
data.
