According to sources actor Rima Kallingal had asked Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan ‘Are you a feminist?’ in the first episode of his weekly talk show titled as ‘Naam Munottu’ and further the Kerala CM’s answer clearly shows that the feminist word is still terribly misunderstood.
Meanwhile when replying to Rima’s question CM Pinarayi Vijayan said that in his land there was a time when the concept of a woman doesn’t deserve freedom existed and the question is not on which side to take but that men and women must be able to live in this land as brothers and sisters.
He added that a woman’s rights should be given to
her and also added that ‘A woman must get all the right she has and men have
their own rights too, which our society requires today’. Moreover on women’s
security the Chief Minister also stated that the government wants to introduce
the Pink Police Patrol and the government’s initiative to enhance safety of
women in the state and presently the Patrol is present in eight districts.
