According to sources from Tirupathi that the country's Vice Venkaiah Naidu today morning had reached Tirumala Tirupathi temple for seeking blessings from Lord Venkateswara. After praying Lord Venkaiah Naidu had interviewed with the press persons. Mr. Naidu arrived in Tirupati with his family members last night and stayed at a heavily guarded Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) guest house on the hills. Earlier on his arrival at the shrine, he was accorded a warm welcome to the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine by TTD Executive Officer and other top officials.
Meanwhile when speaking to the media persons he said Hinduism is not just a religion, but it is our lifestyle. He said in the 70 years of independence, the country has struggled with many evils like poverty, corruption, illiteracy, terrorism, religious fundamentalism, atrocities on weaker section, gender discrimination.
He added “India has given home to everybody, all the religions. Everybody
has come here freely. This great culture, this nation has capacity to
assimilate everybody. This is the deep-rooted culture of this country since
many centuries".
