Chennai sources have reported that Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth on Wednesday greeted his good friend and actor Kamal Hassan for his decision to launch a new political party and said ''only time will tell on both of the functioning together''. Meanwhile when talking to reporters, he extended his greetings to Kamal for his decision to start a new party.
Previously Kamal announced that he would launch his political journey on February 21 from his home town of Ramanathapuram and that he would announce the name of his political party on that day and embark on a state wide tour to meet the people, know their needs and aspirations.

when asked whether he would work together with Kamal, Rajinikanth, who too had
confirmed his political entry by announcing that he would contest all the 234
seats in the next Assembly election due in 2021, said ''only time will
tell''. Furthermore on the occasion of AIADMK Founder and late Chief Minister
MGR's birth anniversary, he also said MGR's policies and principles were being
followed to some extent by political parties.
