As a tough contestant to WhatsApp, a new app named Total has been introduced, which does not require internet, and can be used to chat as well as pay bills. This app has been introduced by Hike Instant messenger service, which has been growing fastly as an alternate to WhatsApp in recent times.


                

Currently, WhatsApp and Telegram are the two most popular instant message service apps used in India. Now with the introduction of Total, it is expected to take over WhatsApp, and more details were revealed by CEO of Hike Messenger, Kavin Mittal.

 In India, smart phones are used by 400 million people, and 200 million come online on a daily basis. While this app can be used to get news, cricket updates.etc besides also paying bills, all this can be done without usage of internet. Total app has inked a strategic deal with Intex and Karbon mobiles priced at INR 2000, to have the app inbuilt, and will be launched in March, and can also be used to get information, train ticket status, share images, with a light weight of just 1 MB storage space.
