After numerous trolls and criticism, and even the opposite party Congress coming down heavily in a degrading manner (Rahul Gandhi had expressed that his hugs are of no use for the country) to post videos against the hugging of world leaders by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi during his visits, now the Indian prime minister has come up with an explanation for the same.

Narendra Modi had recently answered questions on his hugging culture in an interview to a popular news channel. He responded that he's a common man, and not well versed with the cultures and traditions existing in different parts of the world and that the world loves open-mindedness of a man, in general, and that's why he hugs everyone he meets, said the prime minister.

He further added that with such a behavior, he gets to earn the friendship of world leaders, and had he been trained like other leaders belonging to different parties, he'd have also stopped himself with handshakes and diplomatic looks and talks,  but he's a common man who just wants to ensure that India is safe. While he was initially questioned on his ability to handle external affairs, now he has learned a lot and whenever he stands with world leaders, he gets a proud feeling of a representative of 1.25 billion people, expressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
