Actor turned politician Power star Pawan Kalyan is all set to begin his political journey, with a Yatra, ahead of 2019 assembly elections. He has announced that he'll begin the journey At Karimnagar's famous Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple. He has also issued a statement via his official Twitter account that he'll begin his Journey from the sacred place to reach out to people of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and observe, listen and understand the problems faced by them, and he had also posted a photo of the temple.
Surprisingly, on New Year eve, Pawan Kalyan had a meeting with Telangana chief minister Chandrashekhar Rao, at his place in Pragathi Bhawan, Hyderabad. It must be noted that Pawan and KCR in the past had heavily criticized each other, but were seen shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries, which was explained by the chief minister's office as a courtesy meet for New Year wishes. When Jan Sena was formed in 2014, Pawan Kalyan had backed TDP-BJP alliance, and had also rallied for Prime Minister Narendra Modi then.
Pawan was also invited to the
swearing in ceremony of Narendra Modi as he played a vital role in their
victory in Andhra Pradesh, but later Pawan had differences with Modi, as the
latter failed to on his promise of granting special category status to Andhra
Pradesh. Having registered as a voter in Eluru, AP, Pawan Kalyan has strongly
and clearly announced that he'll contest assembly elections 2019, and hasn't
yet decided on alliances.
