Reliance Jio has plans to introduce a phone that runs on Android Go, Google's low-end OS providing lesser services on mobiles to users and in the process making mobile making less expensive for the manufacturers. The new mobile will be launched in LYF brand and will have 4G VoLTE connectivity and Taiwan based chipset maker MediaTek will manufacture the model. 



This plan is to increase the subscribers using its service, winning the competition with other service providers. obviously , Reliance Jio will have this Lyf phone inbuilt with its own SIM, ensuring that the entry level expenses for users to buy a mobile with a network service becomes simple and less  costly. It is to be noted that all mobile service providers in India are currently planning to design phones bundled with talk-time and data features packed, at the range of RS 1000 - Rs 1,500.

On an analysis, it is expected that, Reliance will reduce the price of the new phone much lower by placing huge order to the Taiwan manufacturers, and the company might also accept if it can gain some volume of subsidy. With 500 million mobile users in India, and the Indian mobile market constantly growing, more Smart phones are sold, and it is this fact that the reliance team is trying to utilize to develop the market.
