A girl had been raped in a theatre in Hyderabad. She had gone to Prashanth theatre with her Facebook friend to watch Padmaavat, when she allegedly raped. Circle inspector Mathaiah said that the girl was raped badly, and she had coincidentally became friends with the accused through Facebook only three months back.
The Circle inspector further added that the accused was clear in his intentions, and took advantage of the fact that the theatre didn't have much occupancy and had lesser crowd, so that none would notice. The accused was sent to judicial custody on February 1, after he was arrested on January 31.
The victim girl had
reportedly faced severe injuries in private parts and is undergoing treatment
for the same. A case was booked against the accused in section 376 of IPC and
action was also initiated against theatre owner for his negligent behavior.
