Following Cape Town, South Africa, warnings have been given to 11 cities across the world that they'll be facing huge water scarcity sooner. South Africa's Cape town has been Facing severe water scarcity issues that the government itself had imposed strict laws to its people, not to consume more than 25 liters of water per day (per person).

 


It has been estimated that soon Cape Town will be totally devoid of water with all its water sources utilized till the last drop and the city will face zero day. In such a scenario, experts have analyzed and identified 11 other cities of the world which face the huge threat of water scarcity. Sao Paulo, Brazil's economic capital had faced a similar situation way back in 2015 itself, and even its most prominent lake had only 4% water and a total of Water for 20 days only for a population of 21 Million. However, after numerous measures, the government announced that by 2016, the water scarcity issues were resolved.

Currently, South India's Bengaluru is also facing a similar situation, as most of the water sources have been damaged by industrial wastes and the water currently in water bodies, even if sent for refineries cannot be used for human needs and the government has started insisting on traditional plumbing methods. Among other prominent cities from all over the world all set to face water scarcity and zero day crisis include China's Beijing, America's Florida, Egypt's Cairo, Mexico, Japan's Tokyo, Moscow, Turkey, and Jakarta.
