Andhra Pradesh sources have stated that YSRC chief Jaganmohan Reddy has recently declared that his party MPs would resign if Special Category Status (SCS) is not allowed to Andhra Pradesh by April 6. Sources have stated that even though it was too late for the main opposition party in the state to make such move, some people nonetheless appreciated Jagan's effort and thought he was really serious on achieving SCS.

Recently a video of Jagan's latest interview has gone viral in which he is seen saying, 'AP people don't have to pay 'Income Tax' if the state gets Special Status'. Meanwhile some sort of questions is being shot by rational netizens on social media and they are: Is this the understanding he has of the SCS? How foolish it is to link Income Tax and SCS? Etc.

According to sources either Jagan may have slipped his tongue or he might really not have an idea of how Special Category benefits a state, but the viral video has invited unlimited trolling. Further the political analysts on the other hand say that Jagan's false statements may mislead public. They added that 'Ever since his Padayathra began, Jagan has been making similar unrealistic promises and giving misleading statements'.
