According to sources after his younger brother Pawan Kalyan took an active plunge in politics recently, Megastar Chiranjeevi too is making a comeback to political arena. Sources have added that he will soon be seen campaigning for the Congress party in Karnataka ahead of the Assembly polls in the state.
Meanwhile it is known that Chiranjeevi has been inactive on political front ever since the state bifurcation, despite still being a Rajya Sabha MP. He even didn't campaign for Congress in either of the Telugu states in 2014 Assembly elections. Further the charismatic actor has now given his nod to campaign for Congress in Karnataka for at least a week. Karnataka PCC President Dinesh Gundu himself has declared this to media.
Presently it is heard that the party high command
has asked Chiranjeevi to campaign in only those areas where there is sizable
Telugu population so as to bank on his huge popularity to get votes. Meanwhile,
the forthcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka are crucial to both BJP and
Congress as the result will have a profound impact on the Lok Sabha elections
to be held in 2019.
