The Central Bureau of investigation has requested the US government to help them locate and get Nirav Modi and has sent a letter to the external affairs department of US. The popular jeweler and entrepreneur Nirav Modi had been accused of defrauding Punjab national bank and was allegedly involved in a fraud of 11360 crores as reported in the complaint given by PNB.
Following the complaint by PNB, the enforcement directorate had conducted raids in Nirav Modi's houses, offices, and 17 other places associated with him to search and arrest him as well, but he was nowhere to be seen. While it has been believed all over the world that a lot of illegal money thrives in Switzerland and that Modi might be hiding in Swiss, he wasn't there.
