Following a letter from an Ireland girl to reinclude Pluto in the solar system, NASA's planet research centre director James Green has answered her in a letter. When a 9th planet was identified in 1930, following a suggestion by an 11 year old girl Venetia, through her grandfather, the planet was named after a Greek god as Pluto.
However in 2006 it was declared that Pluto wasn't a planet but just a dwarf planet and took it off the solar system. However there have been numerous requests ever since to include Pluto in the system. Following this, recently a 6 years old girl Cara Lucy o Connor had sent a letter to NASA on the same context, James Green has now replied her.
Cara has sent her letter in which
she stated that she had heard a song in which Pluto was told to be included in
solar system and hence she wanted it. She had added that she wanted to visit
pluto and that she also heard that Earth had trashed pluto, and no planets are
to be trashed. James Green, in his reply said that he agrees with her thoughts
and that Pluto is a cool place and despite it being a planet or not he loves
it, adding that she must find a new planet when she becomes an adult, and that
he's waiting to meet her soon at NASA. Cara reportedly has been an intelligent
girl, who loves to explore space, and has even reportedly planned to find a
planet and name it planet unicorn. Though her request hasn't been accepted,
Cara is on cloud nine thanks to the letter of appreciation from NASA.
