According to sources hailed from one of the most versatile actors of Indian cinema, Kamal Hassan started his political journey in a unique way. Yesterday morning, Kamal visited former President APJ Abdul Kalam's house in Rameswaram and interacted with his family members and presented wrists watch to Kalam's brother. Meanwhile on the occasion, Kamal said that it was an honor to start his political journey from the birthplace of Kalam, who achieved unbelievable heights despite having come from a humble background.
Sources have added that the actor wanted to visit the school where Kalam studied, but the local administration reportedly denied him permission. Later, Kamal interacted with fishermen community in Rameswaram. Meanwhile when addressing media on the sidelines, Kamal said that he is a follower of Mahatma Gandhi, and that in current politics, he considers AP CM Chandrababu Naidu as his hero. Kamal said "Last night, Naidu called him on phone and had given him valuable suggestions ahead of his political plunge and Naidu looked as a huge inspiration for him".
Accordingly from Rameswaram, Kamal went to Paramakudi, his birthplace.
After spending some time there, he left for Madurai. Kamal reached
Madurai by evening and announced his party name and unfurled the party flag at
around 6PM. Furthermore Delhi chief minister and AAP supreme Aravind Kejriwal
attended the launch event.
