New Delhi sources have stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed his grief over the sudden demise of veteran Bollywood actor Sridevi. Meanwhile when taking to Twitter, PM Modi posted, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted actor Sridevi. She was a veteran of the film industry, whose long career included diverse roles and memorable performances. His thoughts are with her family and admirers in this hour of grief. May her soul rest in peace.”
According to sources Sridevi, a Padma Shri recipient, passed away on Saturday night due to a cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she was attending a family wedding with her husband Boney Kapoor and her younger daughter Khushi. Meanwhile after confirming the news of her death, Sridevi’s brother-in-law and actor Sanjay Kapoor said, it is true and the incident had happened roughly around 11.00-11.30.
Meanwhile the news of her death came as a shock for everyone in
the film industry. Many Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka
Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh took to Twitter to
pay their condolences.
