According to sources the Indian Consulate in Dubai came out with a clarification on the incident, shedding light on what happened. They pointed out that Sridevi suffered a massive heart stroke in her hotel room in the Emirate Towers in Dubai at 11 pm. Meanwhile her family and friends rushed her to Rashid hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Sources have stated that the employees in the hotel in which Sridevi, her daughter and husband Boney Kapoor had checked in, however refused to comment as the case is under police investigation. Moreover the officials said that the postmortem has been completed and the body would be handed over to the family members soon. Further death certificate and a few other documents are to be issued by the local officials.
Accordingly the consolation was that her husband Boney Kapoor and her younger daughter Kushi were present when tragedy struck. Kushi were present next to her when the tragedy struck. Unfortunately her older daughter Jhanvi is in India for shooting for her debut film. If tragedy had struck two days later, who can predict the course things would have been taken because Sridevi had plans to stay back in Dubai with her sister Srilatha for a couple of days. Furthermore the officials in Dubai said the body will be taken to Muhaisana Medical Centre for embalming. Later, it was sent to India in a private jet.
