The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that new India will be born only when New Pondicherry is born. During his speech in his visit to the union territory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that, for the development of tourism, transportation and government administration in Pondicherry, 1800 crores will be used.
He further said, with the help of French associations, a total funding of 500 crores will be allocated for Pondicherry drinking water scheme. He also further added that 450 crores will be allocated for the development and maintenance of Jipmer hospital premises, and under Udaan scheme, small flights will be operated to Pondicherry.
While Pondicherry Employment scheme
will guarantee jobs to numerous youngsters, the government has also planned to
help by providing mudra loans to 3 lakhs 25 thousand people of the 12 lakhs
population of Pondicherry. Saagar Mala planning will be implemented for
development of beaches, and the mudra loans will help in eradication of
unemployment in Pondicherry. Saying all these plans, Narendra Modi said that if
new Pondicherry is born, his dream of New India can become a reality.
