The famous football player Baichung Bhutia has quit from the Trinamool Congress party, creating shock waves in the party. Baichung Bhutia is a renowned footballer, who was once known as the face of Indian Football. The former Indian Football team captain had been closely associated with the Trinamool Congress party.
However, he has now disconnected himself from the party, and the reasons behind this exit are unknown yet. Baichung Bhatia had joined the Trinamool Congress in 2013, and had been associated with the party much before that itself. He had joined the party with the thought the sportsmen should also be a part of politics. While he had contested in the parliamentary elections in 2014, he had faced a huge defeat, and had lost by a difference of 196795 votes to BJP's Ahluwalia.
Now, all of a sudden, he has quit his role from the party, stating that he has resigned from all kinds of posts and even the basic membership of the party, and that from now there won't be any connect between him and the party. It must be noted that Baichung Bhutia had supported the separation of Ghorkaland from West Bengal, and Trinamool Congress had opposed it.
