Psychopath and serial Killer Psycho Shankar, who was accused and arrested on charges of raping 13 women in Karnataka and Tamilnadu, and robbing jewels, and was serving jail sentence in Bengaluru Prison, has committed suicide and ended his life. Psycho Shankar, who was prisoned in the Parapana Agrahara Prison of Bengaluru, had allegedly committed suicide by cutting his neck. The 41 year old shankar was noticed to have been in lying in a pool of blood, when cops were on a regular checkup early morning 2:15 am.
The cops in the jail immediately helped him by giving first aid, and Jai Shankar was later taken to Victoria hospital. However, upon arrival itself it was declared that he was already dead. It must be noted that Shankar had tried to escape from the prison numerous times, and was placed in a separate cell, and it is expected that this must have sent him into depression, following which he had cut his neck with a shaving blade.
Shankar had escaped from the Parpana
Agrahara Prison that has tight security in 2013, by making a duplicate key, and
using blanket as a rope, following which 11 officers were dismissed, and was
later arrested 3 days back. Since then, he has been prisoned with tight
security in the prison. More than his real name Jai Shankar, most of the people
know him as Psycho Shankar, and his killing spree began with the murder if a
young woman in 2009, following which he also murdered 11 women in Tamilnadu and
4 women in Karnataka including a female constable. Shankar followed the
practice of kidnapping women and taking them to places without the presence of
people, and raping and killing them. He had been sentenced to 32 years in
prison.
