According to sources warnings are in place that covering parts of Scotland, northern England, the East Midlands, the east and south-east of England and London. Sources have added that emergency services are warning drivers to stay safe after rescuing stranded motorists and dealing with crashes and moreover hundreds of schools are closed and public transport is widely affected.



Meanwhile the flights schedules have been reduced and rail operators have warned disruption will continue throughout. Accordingly British Airways said flights were likely to be affected throughout the week. Meanwhile for "several hours during the worst of the weather" it will proactively reduce flight schedules at Heath row Airport Roads in Norfolk have been blocked due to vehicles getting stuck in the snow, including the A11 southbound at Wymondham and the A143 at Haddiscoe.

Presently UK is experiencing what is predicted to be the coldest week of the winter in five years and moreover the lowest temperature recorded overnight was -11.7C in South Farnborough.
