The Canadian finance minister has presented a budget that aims to reduce the gap between men and women, in terms of labor equality, and bridge the gender gap existing in the country in workplace thereby overcoming labor shortage.
The finance minister Bill Morneau has presented a budget that includes parental leave to fathers, and 7.5 billion Canada dollars for development of 40000 daycare centers. The budget primarily aims at providing equal opportunity at work for both men and women, and aims to give those good earnings and a good living.
The Labor market of Canada has seen
a drastic change in past 40 years, and while only 54 percent of women aged
25-54 were working and now it has increased to 83 percent in 2017. The budget
also offers 7.6 Billion Canada dollars for national pharmacare, and also
aims to bring the fiscal deficit to 18.1 billion. 323.4 billion Canadian
dollars contribute to revenues and 338.5 billion Canadian dollars are part of
spending for public debts.
