While Aircel, the part of Malaysia based Maxis groups, and one of the most prominent telecom operator of Tamilnadu has announced that it has gone bankrupt and has debts of more than 15 crores, complaints have started to come on Jio network as well. Since last week, Aircel wasn't working for many of its subscribers, and most of them planned to port to various other operators.
While it was expected that Jio can be an alternative, since yesterday, many of the Jio users experienced troubles with Jio, especially in Tamilnadu. Most of the users faced troubles from evening 6 pm, and the troubles extended till 3 am, without any resolution for the trouble. However, the Jio troubles were limited to making calls only, as the Jio Internet connectivity was fine as always.
This issue led to thousands of
complaints being made from Chennai, and the problem hasn't been resolved even
today, with the problem mostly persistent in Chennai and Mumbai, with the
common complaint being inability to make calls despite internet connection.
Following numerous complaints, the Jio organization has replied that there's a
small issue in their towers, and the same will be resolved in few days, also
requesting the customers to be patient for few days alone.
