Jana Sena party leader Powerstar Pawan Kalyan convened Joint Fact Finding committee has come up with its report on AP Bifurcation promises, and a total of 15 recommendations to the Central and State governments. The JFC was formed to jot down the injustices done to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the bifurcation, and also has pointed out the pending allocation of Rs 74542 crores from central government. While 16447 crores were a part of special package, 10225 crores were focused on revenue deficit, and 22250 crores were for backward areas. JFC has also reported on the 6000 crores for Vishaka Chennai Corridor, the 5000 crores for Kakinada Petro complex, and the 10819 crores for national institutes.

 


 The JFC's report had two full pages dedicated to the special status denial to Andhra Pradesh, while reiterating that it wasn't right for a non statutory body like NITI Ayog to overrule central government decision and those 16447 crores cannot be a replacement for special status. Secondly, JFC focused on revenue deficit, and the rejection of 4 key items, and the pending 138.39 crores. The third important point of the report happened to be the Polavaram Project, and then comes the sanction of funds for national institutes, with 9 out of 11 such institutes already opened. Next comes the development of backward areas, with the Andhra government requested amount of Rs 24350 crores in five years.

The other key issues mentioned in detail included  Rail/ Road connectivity to Amaravati, the Vijayawada Metro rail plan, and the Detailed Project report of the same, which requires reexamination, the Vishakapatnam Metro, And emphasis on centre to decide soon on Vishakapatnam - Chennai industrial corridor, Kadapa District Steel plant and the feasibility report, the decision of Dugarajapatnam port and the Kakinada Petrochem complex, Amaravati capital city project and the government's snail paced moves on this regard, besides, the tax anomalies which has resulted in losses of more than 3820.36 crores.
