Former Bigg boss Kannada contestant and actor Pradeep, well known in the tinsel town as Tsunami Kitty, was recently arrested for his alleged involvement in kidnapping of two people at gunpoint and their subsequent torture. The Jnanabharathi station policemen arrested Kitty and his 3 aides on Friday, on charges of assault and abduction of two men, with one of them being Girish, a waiter at a bar in Kottigepalya.
It must be noted that Girish had previously filed a complaint against Sunil, Kitty's friend, for raising suspicions that Sunil's wife had a relationship with one of the frequent visitors of the bar, named Taushiq. While they had planned to abduct Taushiq, Girish got involved, leading to both of them getting abducted and they were both assaulted on February 28. Both were held captive in a godown located in Horamavu.
Sunil's wife had the habit of going
to restaurants with Taushiq, and being regular customers, Girish used to
reserve tables for them, and with Sunil coming to know of this, it became a
trouble. After the kidnapping of Taushiq and Girish, Kitty and his friends fled
after taking Girish's wallet, phone and license. Currently, a case has been
filed against Kitty, Sunil and their 12 aides on charges of murder attempt,
abduction and robbery, and Sunil, the prime accused, and Taushiq have been
absconding.
