CPI (M) politburo member and senior leader of the party and Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury took part in a heated debate in Rajya Sabha which is witnessing repeated disruptions and debates over AP bifurcation issue. His turnaround on this issue has given a special jolt to the Congress party.
Yechury who is a native of Kakinada in Coastal Andhra reportedly said that he is a proud Hyderabadi and he prefers United AP. He also questioned the wisdom of Congress party saying the party should not have gone ahead to take a decision favoring statehood to Telangana.
Yechury added that the party has done a historic mistake and he reportedly asked the Congress party to do a rethink on Telangana and said that this will only give rise to more problems in the future and he warned that the people of Andhra Pradesh will never forgive Congress!
