Following the orders of Telangana government to penalize examiners when students in the halls they invigilate indulge in copying in SSC exams, the teachers association of Telangana has decided to boycott the examination invigilation duty, if the rule is not revoked.

To make sure that the examinations are held without any copying or malpractice, the Telangana government was directed by High court on February 21, following which the rule was passed, which made the examiners, DEOs and MEOs accountable for in cases of copying.

However, the teachers did not like this move, and the Telangana Progressive Teachers federation president Ravinder had said that the decision of the government was totally wrong, and they could have opted for installing CCTVs or other steps, but punishing DEO, MEOs and invigilators isn't right.  The association is instructing teachers not to sign the undertaking, and also said, the government can outsource jobs if they don't trust them. The SSC exams are set to start on March 15 in Telangana.
