The Supreme Court has postponed the verdict in the most controversial case of Justice Loya's death. CBI Special court chief justice Loya, had passed away in an unanticipated manner, when he had been to attend a marriage ceremony in Nagpur, way back in December 2014.
It must be noted that prior to his death, he was enquiring the controversial case of Sohrabuddin encounter which took place in Gujarat, with BJP Leader Amit Shah being accused to have an involvement in the encounter. Congress party member Tahsin Poonawala had approached the Supreme court demanding an investigation into the sudden death of Justice Loya, and another plea was filed by Maharashtra based journalist Bandhu Raj Lone, and together, both the petitions were considered as a single complaint.
While the investigations have been
completed, the verdict has been postponed without announcement of the date. The
Maharashtra government had argued that there's no mystery in Loya's death. During
his argument, senior lawyer Harish Salve had said that there must be no further
investigation on this case, as when Loya met his death, there were 4 other
senior judges with him, and further inquiry would mean questioning their
integrity. Now, the whole country is awaiting the verdict of this controversial
case.
