Hyderabad sources added that there will be no parking fee for the persons who parked their vehicles in any place including malls, multiplexes and other commercial establishments for the first 30 minutes. Meanwhile the State Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao issued an order which comes into effect from April 1st. Moreover as per the orders, no parking fee will be collected from any person up to first 30 minutes.
Accordingly the order also states that no parking fee would be collected from the person above 30 minutes and up to 1 hour if the person produces bill to any amount in proof of having done shopping in the respective mall/ multiplex. Further the order also said for a person who has parked the vehicle for more than one hour but produces a bill/movie ticket to an amount which is more than the parking fee, that person also need not pay the parking fee.
Moreover the government noticed that huge
parking fee is being collected in these commercial establishments irrespective
of the duration of the parking or purpose of the visit. Furthermore as per the
building rules, adequate number of off street parking spaces have to be made by
the owners of the commercial establishments or malls or multiplexes to meet the
demand generated by their employees and visitors.
