Chennai sources stated that actor turned politician Rajinikanth, who had declared he would follow the philosophy of spiritual politics, said only god and people were behind him and not the Bharatiya Janata Party. Meanwhile when talking to reporters in Chennai on his return from a spiritual tour to the Himalayas, he also said the state government should put additional pressure on the Central government to set up the Cauvery Management Board.



Meanwhile when asked about meeting some BJP leaders during his spiritual tour and the allegations that he is backed by the party, Rajinikanth dismissed claims that the BJP was supporting him, saying it was "only god and people were behind him".

Further the superstar, who recently took the plunge into politics, visited Siva cave in Jammu, and went to Rishikesh and Dharamshala as part of his spiritual tour.
