After months of numerous questions surrounding the death of former Tamilnadu CM Jayalalitha, and her sudden hospitalization, followed by her death after 75 days, and a probe, Jayalalitha's aide Sasikala has filed an affidavit the commission headed by Justice Arumugasamy. Here are the details of the 99 paragraph Affidavit. As per the affidavit, Jayalalitha had refused to visit hospital despite illness on September 22, 2016, and DR Sivakumar had already been visiting twice a day, and it was only later that she was taken to Apollo hospitals.

At 9:30 pm the same day, Jayalalitha felt uneasy, and she fell unconscious on bed. Dr Sivakumar immediately called Vijay Kumar Reddy, the spouse of Apollo Hospitals chairperson Preetha Reddy. Though she was taken to hospital initially for her giddiness, she succumbed to her heart problems later. As per the affidavit, Jayalalitha's health worsened during her imprisonment in disproportionate assets case in 2014 for a period of 14 days. Though she was out on bail, the thoughts and worries about the case worsened her health.
