A tweet posted by a parody account of Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has landed the cricketer himself in trouble. The parody account had made a tweet on Ambedkar and this remark hurt the sentiments of the community reportedly. The tweet which was posted and deleted in December 2017, ended with the Jodhpur court issuing an order to file an FIR against Hardik Pandya.

The petition was filed by a Rashtriya Bhim Sena member Dr. Meghwal, who was irked by the tweet which read "Who's Ambedkar? The one who drafted constitution and cross law or one spread reservation disease across the nation?". Meghwal said that it was a tweet which was extremely derogatory for a person of Ambedkar's stature and Hardik Pandya had did Huge mistake by posting it, stating that it was a crass act.
