While Indian Cricketer Mohamad Shami's wife Hasin Jahan had made allegations against him that he was involved in match fixing, the Anti Corruption unit of BCCI has cleared him of the accusations, and Shami has now retained his BCCI Contract as well.
Now, Shami, who initially accused by his wife Hasin Jahan of having extra marital affairs, has been offered a Grade B Contract which will enable him to earn 3 crores per year. Now it has been speculated that, besides his non involvement in match fixing, his confessions regarding the extra marital affairs have earned him the contract.
The BCCI had said that, as per the
reports given by Neeraj Kumar, former Delhi police commissioner and head of
BCCI Anti corruption unit, who was requested by Supreme court to investigate
the Shami fiasco, had given a report according to which Shami was not involved
in any cases of Match fixing, and due to this he has been awarded the Grade B
contract. It must be noted that BCCI had maintained its stand of not being
involved in the personal affairs of Shami, while it was focused only on the
corruption charges leveled against him by his wife Hasin Jahan. It was also
proved by verification of his bank accounts that there were no illegal or
abnormal transactions, confirming that Shami was clean.
