40 girls, belonging to a hostel of the Dr Hari Singh Gour University in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh have complained that they were strip searched by a hostel warden. The search was done by the Hostel warden, after it was found that a used sanitary pad was lying in the floors of the hostel premises.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, RP Tiwari condemned the action taken by the Hostel warden and immediately issued an apology to the girl students. RP Tiwary said that the act was condemnable, and it was unfortunate that such an incident happened in the premises of the esteemed university.
He had also said that he has seen
all the students like his own daughters, and immediately apologized to them.
Tiwari immediately set into action, and has ordered a strict probe into the issue.
While assuring the girls that strong action will be taken, and that the warden
will face serious consequences if found guilty.
