If the parliament is adjourned sine die with no proper official announcement regarding the granting of special category status to Andhra Pradesh, all the MPs from YSR congress party will resign, said the leader of the party.  This decision was made following a meeting between party head YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the party MPs. on the future course of action.

 


As said by Loksabha member Rajmohan Reddy, if there's no announcement in the parliament session, the next day they will witness the resignations of all MPs. YSR Congress party had also demanded the TDP party MPs to resign over the issue of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh, stating that this will increase the pressure for central government.

TDP and YSR Congress have together passed a no confidence motion against the ruling BJP in the centre, and however, due to the protests vby AIADMK and TRS, the no confidence motion could not be taken up. Jaganmohan had held the meeting with his MPs. amidst his Padayatra plan, and 5 out of 6 YSR congress MPs attended the meeting, and even Rajya Sabha members were present. Lok Sabha member Rajmohan Reddy had further said that there will be no more alliances with BJP and YSRCP will contest elections alone.
