As per report from Thiruvananthapuram a teacher from Kalady Dr. Ranjith Kumar, while addressing a gathering on health awareness said that a woman who doesn't honor womanhood and wear jeans gives birth to transgender kids. Ranjith said “Women who wear jeans or act like men give birth to transgender kids.
Accordingly when a woman degrades her womanhood, or a man degrades his manhood, the girl born to them will have the characteristics of a man. A child born to such a woman will be a transgender". Meanwhile he didn’t stop at that but went on to target children who are differently abled, adding that persons who are rebellious tend to have autistic children. Further to prove his claim, he showed a video to the gathering saying that the children are autistic as their mother wears jeans.
Moreover the remarks of the teacher have not gone down well with Health
Minister KK Shailaja who has barred the professor from participating in
government programs and also directed agencies to stop inviting him.
Furthermore after having made a comment that transgender people are born to
women who wear jeans, he reiterated the statement in a television show.
