People of Chennai have become extremely shocked after numerous murders and crimes in the recent times in the city. Murders are committed in the city for money, extramarital affairs, feuds, jewels and many other reasons, and the recent murders in the city bear testimony to this fact.
Murders are done even in broad daylight in the presence of people itself. In 2016 February, a kid named Hasini was raped and murdered by an engineering graduate in Porur. The next event happened in Nesappakkam when a boy Rithish Sai had complained to his dad about his mother's affair with a person named Nagaraj, and Nagaraj ultimately killing Rithish.
The recent being the brutal murder of college student Aswini by a person named Azhagesan, for not reciprocating his love. Recently in Vadapalani, a gang of strangers had barged into the house of temple priest Bala Ganesh, and had brutally murdered his wife, and looted away jewels from their house. With such continuous gruesome murders in the City, people are extremely worried that their Singaara Chennai has turned into a killer capital of the state.
