The mega cricketing event of the country, Indian Premier league, is all set to begin tomorrow, and with 60 matches, will be played between April 7 to May 27, and is expected to be gaining more hype and popularity, with the return of two of the most popular franchises of IPL, the MS Dhoni lead Chennai Super Kings, and the Rajasthan Royals, 2 years after being banned for match fixing accusations.
The event has secured a huge insurance coverage of 2500 crores, and this includes ticket cancellation and event cancellation, with the lead broker being Marsh India Insurance Brokers. In an attempt to attract more subscribers, Airtel India has announced that it will be deploying advanced MIMO Pre-5G technology in all the IPL Match venues, which will give audience high speed internet experience, much faster than 4G.
On the players front, as captains,
MS Dhoni, Gambhir and Rohit Sharma have seven titles among them, and will look
forward to extend their trophy count, while R Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, Ajinkhya
Rahane and Kane Williamson who are captaining for the first time, will try to
make a massive impression on their maiden attempt at captaincy. The grand
opening ceremony will be held tomorrow, and will have stars like Hrithik
Roshan, Tamannah Bhatia and Jacqueline Fernandez entertaining audience with
their live dance performances. The opening match will be played between Mumbai
Indians and CSK, tomorrow at 8 pm.
