Udaypur's Sri Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar has achieved a world record by getting more than 3 lakhs used clothes from across the world as charity. Lakshyaraj had begun the campaign called vastra dhaana in January 15, to collect used clothes from all over the world. With the participation of various teams and 1700 volunteers collecting from more than 76000 people across the globe, this achievement was done by him. 

 


Previously this world record in this regard was achieved in Dubai, when 291522 clothes were collected and these were washed, and cleaned and given to refugees of Iran and Iraq. Now, Lakshyaraj has surpassed the record and set a new record and says that food, shelter and clothing are the basic needs of people.

With this achievement, he aims to serve people and transport clothes to Needy people across the country. His unique campaign was endorsed by many celebrities too like music directors Salim Sulaiman, cricketers Yusuf and Irfan Pathan. Lakshyaraj belongs to the royal Mewar dynasty and owns the HRH group of hotels and was also the Udaypur cricket association head previously.
