According to sources amid the discussions about latest decision of Donald Trump's US government to revoke the work permit for spouses of H1B, an update about a huge drop in H1B visas during 2015 and 2017 finds the prominent place. Meanwhile the reports claim that the Top seven Indian IT organizations seen a huge 43% drop in their H1B visa approvals between the years 2015 and 2017.



Accordingly these top seven companies received only 8468 H1B petitions approved in 2017, while the number was 14,792 in 2015, indicating a large 43% drop in approvals. Moreover based on data from USCIS, the National Foundation of American policy revealed that TCS received only 2312 H1B visas in 2017 and the number was 4674 in the year 2015, showing a 51% drop.

Reports stated that Infosys, between the years 2015 and 2017 faced a whopping 57% drop, that is from 2830 in 2015 to at least as 1218 last financial year and moreover Wipro got 1210 in 2017 while the company got 3079 H1B visas in 2015. Furthermore on the other side, Cognizant technology solutions got most H1B visa petitions approved, 3194, for the financial year 2017. Moreover only TCS managed to see a 13% and Tech Mahindra by 42% more petitions approved in the year 2017 than in the previous year.
