A recent incident in Uttar Pradesh when a girl had pretended to be a man and married her girlfriend has created huge controversy, in Uttar Pradesh's Agra, two young girls had been in love with each other for a while, and since in India, same sex marriage has not yet been recognized by law, they had troubles in getting married.
Hence they decided to get married without the consent of their parents. Following the decision, one of the girls decided to act as a man, and then she also named herself as Karthik Shukla, and had also readied all documents in fake, including Aadhaar card and other fake documents.
With fake setup parents, they got
married, and when the real parents accepted and decided to feast them for the
wedding, they found that it was a girl who married another girl, following
which the two girls, who were less than 20 years of age were separated by the
help of police.
