According to sources finally, Telangana JAC Chairman M Kodandaram had quit the chairman post he was holding for the last nine years. Meanwhile he played an important role as JAC leader in the Telangana movement from 2009. Further Kodandaram took the decision to relinquish the post after he announced his foray into active politics by floating a new political party Telangana Jana Samithi.
Meanwhile as per report Kodandaram has been receiving strong criticism from different quarters ever since he launched his own political outfit. Furthermore he played a key role as JAC chairman in uniting all political parties and brought them on a single platform during the intensified Telangana movement.
Recently Kodandaram announced quitting the JAC post
after paying tributes to the Telangana martyrs at the Martyrs Bhavan in
Hyderabad and also said that new JAC Chairman will be elected by the Steering
Committee soon. Media reports that till then the JAC Convener Raghu will
oversee the functioning of the joint action committee and thus Kodandaram
became a popular leader in Telangana after assuming JAC chairman post.
