With an unanticipated dust storm and heavy rain accompanying it, hitting hard on the west and northern parts of India, it had a huge impact on lives of people. It had a heavy effect on the people belonging to Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, as nearly 90 people were killed by the dust storm.  The intense storm also affected normalcy of people, while also damaging houses. 

 


The dust storm also affected parts of the capital city Delhi; however, it had lesser effects comparatively. However the flight services and operations went for a toss, with the heavy dust storm breathing havoc. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted his condolences and also said that the crisis prone states will be provided relief measures.

Uttar Pradesh had the majority of 64 deaths, with Agra contributing 43 of it, and 35 people getting injured as well. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakhs for the families of the deceased, and Rs 50000 for the injured. 31 were killed in Rajasthan, with Alwar being the most affected. More than 80 trees fell, and impacted the road transport and electricity supply as well in Alwar.
