In a temple located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, facilities have been made to keep an Air conditioner for the Idols of God in a temple. In a temple of Lord Ganesh, the AC has been arranged for Ganesh Statue. The temple management committee members have said that this act has given them a lot of happiness. Now, the photos of the AC Ganesh temple have been spreading like wildfire all over the internet.
Following the immense popularity received by the temple, the temple management has come up with an explanation reasoning for the AC. Not just at one place, but air conditioners have been installed in 3 places of the temple, one at the place of the main deity, another near another God idol, and the third near the Nandhi statue, and the management claims that these Air conditioners are only for Gods.
The temple management has also made a claim that
without AC, Gods will be sweating in the temples, and since its summer season,
to protect the statues from the heat ACs have been fixed. Along with the temple
management, the people of the locality have also contributed for the Air
Conditioner setup. Now, plans are on to install Air conditioners in the Ram
temple of Lucknow sooner, with the expenses to be taken care by the Uttar
Pradesh government.
