Congress president Rahul Gandhi had said during his campaign speech that he wishes to be the Prime Minister of India. In retaliation, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed Rahul Gandhi's wish to the PM as arrogance. The Karnataka state assembly elections are scheduled to be held for 224 constituencies, on may 12. The vote counting process for the same will be done on May 15.

 


Currently both the BJP and the ruling congress have been busy campaigning for the elections, in full swing. Even the national leaders of both the party are currently camping in Karnataka to ensure that their respective party wins the elections. In such a scenario, yesterday during his election campaign speech, Rahul Gandhi had said that if Congress wins the 2019 elections by majority, he will be sworn in as the prime minister.

Today, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to Rahul's statement during his speech In Bangarpet, saying that a person openly claiming that he wants to be the PM is sheer arrogance, and with his own party having senior leaders, he wanting to become the PM is bigger arrogance. Modi's talks have angered the Congress camp and its senior leaders.
