Hyderabad sources reported that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is coming up with air-conditioned bus shelters with international standards in the city. Meanwhile to start off, Telangana Municipal Administration & Urban Development minister K. Taraka Rama Rao inaugurated such bus shelters in three of the busiest locations in the city in KPHB, Khairtabad and Shilpa Ramam yesterday.
Accordingly the swanky bus stops also feature facilities like Wi-fi, ATM, Television, mobile charging points, fans, toilets, ticket counter and an emergency horn. Meanwhile it is learnt that GHMC is planning to arrange a total of 826 modern bus shelters across the city.
As per report this is considered a great addition to the mission of making
Hyderabad, which now joins the league of only a select few cities with the
modern bus shelters in the developed countries in the west, an international
city. Furthermore GHMC achieved a rare feat of making Hyderabad the first ever
city to possess the world-class facility.
