The commanding and loyalty that the late Congress leader P Janardhan Reddy enjoys in Hyderabad needs no introduction. His political legacy is now being carried forward by both his son Vishnuvardhan Reddy and daughter Vijaya. But then they have chosen different paths for themselves.
While Vishnu has retained his loyalties with Congress, Vijaya Reddy joined YSRCP amid fanfare with the blessings of Vijayamma and it was widely known that caste factor was the key here. This happened during the big swing that Jagan created when he was not arrested.
With Jagan’s party facing a near rout in Telangana and Hyderabad region, sources say Vijaya Reddy has dropped enough hints that she too may be leaving the bandwagon in coming days or weeks. Being PJR’s daughter, even if she quits, then that will be a serious blot on the party.
